Back on AMI

Chilled out day today, walked the beach saw a couple of late season Tarpon rolling too far out to cast to anyway.
Decided to switch from the fly to bait tonight to see what's about. Cast net thrown and after a few attempts managed to get some shinners. Good sized Ladyfish landed and was bitten off a few times by what I presume would be Spanish Mackeral, upped the leader to 20lb and still got bit through was just about to switch to a wire tippet when the heavens opened and the thunder and lightning came which signalled a very wet and soggy end to the fishing.

Looks like the BBQ may be off, ah well time for a beer or 2 - there's always tomorrow
