Been a while since my last post due to serious lack of fishing activity, this weather were having has made the rivers un-fishable for most of the time, the odd days when it's been better other things have cropped up.
At last just over a week ago I managed to get out to local fishery and wet the line. Given the conditions were not really that good I was very surprised by the outcome of a session that lasted just about 3 hours.
All the fish were hard fighting and in good condition and, the Cat seemed to take most of the fish but the best of the bunch fell to the black spider a nice 7.5lb fish
Out catching up on some double handed practice this week & hoping that the weather starts to settle down and the rivers drop as I'm off to the River Nith at the end of the month for the start of the salmon season as well as taking part in grayling competition that Friars Carse Hotel are running.
Tight lines for now and if you manage to get out make sure you wrap up warm.
